FISCAL YEAR 2022 BOARD MEMBERS & OFFICERS
President
BUZZY SHAZER
Buzzy is a lifelong resident of this great town called Monroe City. For the past 11 years he has been employed at HNB Bank where he is currently serving as the Vice President and Branch Manager for the Monroe City facility. Previously he was employed at Diemakers for 25 years. His wife of 32 years, is Ruth Ann Shaver, whom is retired from Monroe City R-1 Schools after 28 years of teaching 2nd grade, and continues to work for another local business JP’s Corner. One son Bronson Shaver, who is employed by Tom Boland Ford of Hannibal, Mo as their Internet Sales Manager. He enjoys time spent with my family as much as anything, as well as finding as much spare time as he can for golfing and hunting.
Buzzy has served on many boards through the years, with some being more satisfying than others. After being approached about being on the Nutrition Center’s board it just seemed fitting with the current stage of life. He has always been amazed at the amount of activity the Center provides for our community, and look forward to learning what makes this operation tick. Beyond the obvious amount of dedicated people with just a few coming to mind like Janice Schnitzler and Diana Hendrix. He would just like to thank the board for considering him as a board member. He is hopeful that he can contribute some small part to help the Center continue to thrive as it has for many years.

Tara grew up in Dallas City, IL. After high school, she moved to Quincy, IL to train for a career as a lab technician while working at both Blessing and St. Elizabeth Hospital. She later transitioned to farming full-time, raising 4 boys and working at Diemakers for almost 25 years. She has since retired from Diemakers and is still farming. Two of her sons live in Kansas City, one in St. Louis, and the oldest lives in Sydney, Australia. She has 5 grandsons with another (girl?) due soon. She enjoys being with friends, quilting, baking and volunteering. "I have the upmost respect for our Seniors as they have laid out the foundation for us to grow. I want to help continue that growth. We are so very blessed to have this facility for our Seniors to gather for a meal and socialize. The meal deliveries keep our Seniors in their homes longer and provide many other services to them and our community. We are so very blessed to have Diana and her crew to keep us fed and obtain the resources that are needed to continue going forward. What a great asset to the Community!!"
